D.D.Step "BAREFOOT" fabric shoes have a sole made of extremely thin rubber, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking, maintaining natural foot movements and providing proper protection for the foot. The wide shoe base does not compress the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop unhindered. This is especially important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design footwear provides foot protection and is extremely flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract unhindered.
As long as there is no pain, muscle or bone system problems, children's feet can and should develop without interference. Wearing barefoot shoes allows this process to happen, imitating the effect of bare feet: providing protection, but not changing the natural foot movement. For this, shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped and completely flat, like barefoot model shoes.
The sole and insole of barefoot model shoes are completely flat.
To ensure cleanliness inside the shoe, the insole can be removed, so it can be washed or dried.
