D.D.Step "BAREFOOT" fabric shoes have a sole made of extremely thin rubber, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking. This maintains natural foot movements and provides adequate protection for the foot. The wide shoe base does not compress the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop unhindered. This is especially important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design of the footwear ensures foot protection and is extremely flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract freely.
As long as there is no pain, muscle or bone system problems, children's feet can and should develop without hindrance. Wearing Barefoot shoes allows this process to occur, mimicking the effect of bare feet: providing protection but not altering the natural foot movement. For this, shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped and completely flat, like barefoot models.
The sole and insole of Barefoot shoes are completely flat.
To ensure cleanliness inside the shoe, the insole can be removed for washing or drying. The insoles are made of natural leather.
