D.D.Step "BAREFOOT" shoes have an extremely thin rubber sole, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking, maintaining natural foot movements, and providing adequate foot protection. The wide base of the shoes does not compress the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop unrestrictedly. This is especially important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design of the footwear ensures foot protection and is extremely flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract freely.
As long as there is no pain, muscle, or skeletal system problems, children's feet can and should develop without hindrance. Wearing barefoot shoes allows this process to occur by mimicking the effect of bare feet: providing protection without altering the natural foot movement. For this, shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped, and completely flat, such as barefoot model shoes.
The sole and insole of barefoot model shoes are completely flat.
