D.D.Step "BAREFOOT" textile shoes have an exceptionally thin rubber sole, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking, maintaining natural foot movements, and providing proper foot protection. The wide base of the shoes does not restrict the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop freely. This is especially important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design of the footwear provides foot protection and is exceptionally flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract freely.
As long as there are no pain, muscle or bone system problems, children's feet can and should develop unhindered. Wearing barefoot shoes allows this process to happen, mimicking the effect of bare feet: protection is provided, but the natural foot movement is not altered. For this, shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped, and completely flat, like barefoot models.
The sole and insole of barefoot model shoes are completely flat.
To ensure cleanliness inside the shoe, the insole can be removed for washing or drying.
