D.D.Step "BAREFOOT" fabric shoes feature an exceptionally thin rubber sole, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking. This maintains natural foot movements and provides adequate protection. The wide shoe base does not compress the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop unrestrictedly. This is particularly important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design of the footwear ensures foot protection and is exceptionally flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract freely.

As long as there is no pain, muscle or bone system problems, children's feet can and should develop without hindrance. Wearing barefoot shoes allows this process to occur, mimicking the effect of bare feet: providing protection without altering the natural movement of the foot. For this, the shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped, and completely flat, like barefoot models.

The sole and insole of barefoot model shoes are completely flat.

To ensure cleanliness inside the shoe, the insole can be removed, making it washable or dryable.
