The sole of D.D.Step "BAREFOOT" textile shoes is made of exceptionally thin rubber, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking. This maintains natural foot movements and provides adequate protection for the foot. The wide shoe base does not compress the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop freely. This is especially important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design of the footwear ensures foot protection and is exceptionally flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract unrestrictedly.
As long as there are no problems with pain, muscles, or bone systems, children's feet can and should develop without hindrance. Wearing barefoot shoes allows this process to occur, mimicking the effect of bare feet: providing protection without changing the natural movement of the foot. For this, shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped, and completely flat, like barefoot models.
The sole and insole of barefoot model shoes are completely flat.
To ensure cleanliness inside the shoe, the insole can be removed for washing or drying.
