The sole of D.D.Step “BAREFOOT” textile shoes is made of a particularly thin rubber, allowing children to feel the ground while running and walking, preserving natural foot movements and providing adequate protection for the foot. The wide shoe base does not compress the foot, allowing the child's foot bones and tendons to grow and develop unhindered. This is especially important for the toes, as they are responsible for balance and proper motor skills. The minimalist design footwear provides foot protection and is exceptionally flexible, allowing the child's foot tendons and muscles to stretch and contract freely.
As long as there is no pain, muscle or skeletal system problems, children's feet can and should develop without hindrance. Wearing barefoot shoes allows this process to occur, mimicking the effect of bare feet: providing protection without changing the natural movement of the foot. For this, shoes must be thin, flexible, foot-shaped and completely flat, like barefoot models.
The sole and insole of barefoot model shoes are completely flat.
To ensure cleanliness inside the shoe, the insole can be removed, making it washable or dryable.
